Fanny C. Jones was born on 12 May1889 in Williamson County, Ill. She grew up in southern Illinois and attended Southern Illinois College for two years. She graduated from the State Normal College at Dillon, and taught school in Illinois for six years, and in Montana for thirty-one years. In 1913 she married Thomas Lloyd Jones in West Frankfurt, Ill.
